I saw a dead man today.


He wears a sweater.
Black. Beige. Green.
One of those marble patterns --
Perhaps a Christmas present from my Grandmother years ago.

Three, Four, Five blue lights.
Bike after bike.
Red lights now.

Lying there dead.

How long?
A few minutes?
Couple hours?
All day?
